Located in the Houston, Texas area, we are quite simply, totally devoted to the Havanese breed.

This devotion began innocently enough when we acquired a single Havanese several years ago and has grown now to include several Havanese as family members here. Far from a "business", this is our hobby here and one we love dearly.



We are strong supporters of appropriate health testing within our breed and do our best to breed healthy companions first and foremost. Along the way, we've bred some winning dogs in the conformation arena along with some who are strong competitors in performance events as well. We have supported the Havanese health foundation both financially as well as by volunteering our dogs for health studies when needed. Please stop by the Health Issues section of our website for further details about the health testing we feel is important whether you are looking for a healthy pet or a show prospect. We also support education, rescue and other facets of the breed through our involvement in the Havanese Club of America, the Gulf Coast Havanese Club and the Lone Star Havanese Club. We enjoy giving back to the Havanese community with our support and volunteer efforts.

All of our dogs are our companions first, but we also enjoy showing them to their championships in AKC conformation. Someday we hope to branch out to include agility and obedience titles for our dogs.

International, Latin American, Salvadorian and Guatemalan FCI Ch. Tejano's Go For the Gold - "Mojito" finishes 2008 ranked as the #2 Toy Dog in Guatemala! What an accomplishment for Mojito and his owner, Ana Monteros. We're proud of your success and wish you a wonderful year in 2009.

Ch. Tejano's It Started in a Garden - "Eden" becomes the newest champion at Tejano. Eden finished on the Florida circuit going WB/BOW for a major under Judge Lorraine Boutwell. Many thanks to our co-owner and co-breeder, Dina Manship Planche and to our handler Lois DeMers.

Brains & beauty - Sky does it all & qualifies for the prestigous Versatility Award from the Havanese Club of America! Ch. Tejano's Eye of the Storm, NAJ, RN (Sky) has proven himself to be well respected in the conformation ring as one of the top Havanese, but he recently added a novice agility title and Rally Novice title competing in North Carolina as well! This boy loves to run, jump and weave in agility! This qualifies him for the prestigous Versatility Award presented by the HCA which only a small percentage of Havanese ever achieve. Big congrats go to Sky and his loving owner, Dina Manship Planche!

Way to go, Bogie! Tejano's Vegas Robaina, Bogie, earned his CGC recently up in New York City. His owners, Joe and Kathy, are proud of that boy and so are we! No telling what Joe and Bogie will be training towards next, but with these two working as a team I know we'll see more of them in the future. Many congrats to Joe, Kathy and Bogie!

Tejano Havanese receives Breeder of Merit Award from the Havanese Club of America. Other awards include an ROM for our Daisy and 4 star health awards!

CH. Tejano's S'No Stopping Me Now - "Tucker" is doing well in the Pacific NW as he enters the breed ring as a special. In his first weekends with handler Randy Scheppe, Tucker has taken 2 BOBs and 1 BOS. Not bad considering he went breed over specials ranked in the top 5 for our breed. Many congrats to Tucker's owner, Tammy Karplus. Keep it up, Tucker!

CH Tejano's Eye of the Storm, "Sky", owned by Dina Manship Planche, continues to prove there's NO LIMIT for this Sky! Sky finished his first partial year as a young special with limited showing as the # 7 Havanese in All Breed points and #12 in Breed points. Sky continues his winning ways by winning the 1st Award of Merit at The Garden and is a Top Ten Havanese in 2007! See more photos here...
